PSDC participation in USAID Access to Justice Program’s

PSDC participated in the USAID Iraq Access to Justice Program’s Partners’ Conference through their representative Mr. Haidar Al-Fehan on September 7th – 9th, 2013.
The event took place in Erbil, bringing together representatives of Government, Civil Society and the Private Sector committed to working together on behalf of Iraq’s most vulnerable.
The conference addressed the definition of Justice Program and suggestions on how to develop and maintain it.
Mr. Haidar Al-Fehan, as the private sector representative presented number of proposals which received support from the audience:
  •  Exemption or taxes relief for private sector companies if they participated in humanity and social activities.
  •  Taxation Exemption for civil society organizations.
  •  Ministries and government institutes should be given orders to cooperate with civil society organizations concerning laws and regulations reforms and information delivery to NGOs who have serious development projects.
On the sidelines of the conference Mr. Haidar, met with Prime Minister Economic Advisor Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Anbuge, who expressed his willingness to participate in PSDC future activities and urged PSDC to cooperate with Our Economy NGO since it is one of the economic organizations that works under his supervise.
